"Art Speaks" Public Talk @ ACL Gallery
Friday, May 28, 2021
You are invited to attend a public art talk, “Art Speaks,” on Friday evening, May 28th from 6-8 pm, led by acclaimed teacher, Hugh Mahon. In Hugh’s words, the talk will focus on the “language of art, including the elements and principles of design and how artwork can be appreciated in terms of line, color, shape, form and perspective.”
A sequel presentation
will take place on Saturday afternoon, June 5th, from 1-5 pm at the ACL Gallery. The gallery will host an in-person encounter with a number of established artists whose work is currently on display. Several selected artists will be available in the gallery to discuss their creative process and to respond to questions. Viewing a piece of artwork with its creator is a unique and personal experience. It is not necessary to have attended the first session to enjoy the second session.
A one-time discount of 20% is offered on any work of art purchased at the gallery during either of these presentations. Additionally, a raffle and drawing for two (2) $100 Visa Gift Cards will be held at the June 5th event.
Masks are required inside the gallery and COVID-19 precautions will be followed. The exhibition, “Beauty Is…” will run through June 21st. You are also welcome to visit the gallery during our regular hours: Friday, 5-9 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 1-5 pm. For an appointment to view the gallery during off hours, please call Barbara at 973-868-9626 or Viv at 973-650-6374.
