2020 Caregiver Virus Present

Caring for Yourself and Your Senior Loved Ones During a Pandemic

May 5, 2020 - 12pm - 1pm
Presented by Heidi Schnapp MA,CSW,CMC,CDP and Lisa Bayer J.D., CCM, from LMR Elder Care, LLC

According to the National Alliance for Caregiving, almost 68 million Americans, or 31% of adults, serve as caregivers for an ill or disabled relative. A 2017 Merrill Lynch study valued this unpaid at more than 500 billion dollars. In addition to the physical and economic value of caregiving, there is an unquantifiable psychological toll.

Today, with most states issuing some type of stay-at-home order, we find that older adults who depended on care from family caregivers are isolated in homes and facilities unable to see their loved ones. Please join us on __  for a webinar during which we will discuss how to navigate this "new normal" with ways to try to make sure that both caregivers and their loved ones have what they need to stay safe and content. This is also applicable to those caregiving to family out of state.  Livingston SYLS is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
