The Township of Livingston reminds residents that all Township offices will be closed to the public on Monday, May 29, 2023 in honor of Memorial Day.
Remembrance Ceremony
The Remembrance Ceremony at the War Memorial Park at the Oval begins at 9:30 am on Monday, May 29. The public is invited to the outdoor ceremony.
Residents may join friends and neighbors at Memorial Oval across from Town Hall to honor and commemorate the American spirit and the sacrifices of the men and women who serve our country through military service.
The annual Memorial Day Parade beings at 10 am.
Bulk Pickup
If your normal garbage collection days are Monday and Thursday, be advised that your Bulk Item Pickup for the month will happen on Thursday, May 25, 2023. There will be no Bulk Item Pickup on Monday, May 29, 2023.
No Garbage or Recycling Collection
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.
Garbage Collection
If your normal garbage collection day is Monday, your garbage will be picked up on your next regularly scheduled day: Thursday, June 1.
Recycling Collection
Recycling will not be collected on Monday, May 29, and collection will move one day later for the rest of the week. Therefore, Monday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Tuesday, 5/30; Tuesday’s recycling moves to Wednesday, 5/31; Wednesday’s recycling moves to Thursday, 6/1; Thursday’s recycling moves to Friday, 6/2; and Friday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Saturday, 6/3.
Metal Recycling
There will be NO Metal Recycling pickup on Friday, May 26, 2023. The next metal recycling pickup will be on Friday, June 2, 2023. Register by Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 12:00 noon. The registration form will open on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
Ely Cemetery Open for Tours
The Livingston Historical Society will open the historic Ely Cemetery, located on Hillside Avenue for public tours on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm, weather permitting. Learn more here.
