[ARCHIVED] Livingston Arts Association Offers Abstract Painting Classes

Livingston Arts Association - Fall Art Classes, on colorful abstract paint background

In accordance with a high interest in Abstract Art, Livingston Arts Association is pleased to announce two new Fall classes:

Abstract Exploration for All Media will be taught by Donna Grande on Thursday mornings beginning September 23 for eleven weeks. (This is a change of day from the original schedule.)

Donna is a graduate of Montclair State University and has a design degree from F. I.T. She also studied at the Art Students League of New York and has established a noteworthy career as an artist over the past 30 years. Donna has won numerous awards for her paintings and has been included in many juried exhibits and galleries. She has presented numerous solo shows in New England, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and has been featured on NBC and Fox News. Her mantra is: “Beauty isn’t in the eye of the beholder. It’s something I have a gift for capturing.” Visit Donna’s website at www.donnagrande.com.

Mixed Media Abstracts will be taught by Evan Stuart Marshall on Friday afternoons beginning September 24 for 11 weeks.

Award-winning artist Evan Stuart Marshall is best known for his whimsical, vividly colored mixed-media abstract paintings. His work has been featured in many juried exhibitions, both solo and group, and is held in many private collections around the world. One of Evan's pieces was recently acquired by the renowned curator and art consultant Paige Powell (once a member of Andy Warhol’s Factory) for the MC Hotel in Montclair. His work is carried by major national retailers, including Homesquare, Houzz, Kmart, Pier I, Sears, Walmart and Wayfair. It is also available at the ACL Art Gallery and La Vie Galerie, both in Livingston, and at online galleries including Saatchi Art and Singulart. Evan is active in several art organizations including the Livingston Arts Association, Studio Montclair and the West Essex Art Association, on whose board he serves as membership chair. He lives and works in Roseland. Visit Evan's website at evanstuartmarshall.com.

All classes run for 11 weeks and are limited to eight people. Beginners, intermediate and advanced students are welcomed. All classes are held at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave., in craft Rooms 3 & 4.
