Mission Statement
Every day, the members of the Livingston Fire Department work to safeguard the lives and property and enhance the quality of life of the residents of and visitors to the Township of Livingston. We do this by responding to emergencies, providing fire safety education and training, and enforcing fire prevention measures, and through public relations and personal contacts with our residents. Our dedicated family of members is committed to exceeding the expectations of those we serve. The Livingston Fire Department has been proudly serving the Township of Livingston since 1921, last year the department celebrated 100 years of service to the Township.
A Message from Fire Chief Christopher C. Mullin
As Livingston continues to grow, so do our responsibilities to the Township. With each passing day, we continue to meet the demands made of us, handling a wide variety of emergency responses throughout our community.
In the coming years, we expect more of the same as new homes and condominiums continue to develop in our community. The members of the Livingston Fire Department will continue to meet the needs and the ever-increasing demands of protecting our expanding community and our residents with commitment, efficiency and professionalism.
The Livingston Fire Department and its 70+ volunteers may be generally unknown to the everyday person, but for the many who call upon us for help each day, we are never forgotten. Day or night, rain or shine, we are always on call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing emergency services for the residents of and visitors to Livingston, New Jersey.
