The members of the Livingston Animal Shelter Committee are appointed each year by the Livingston Township Council.
The main responsibility of this committee is to support Animal Control in regard to animals and any issues that may arise at the shelter. Some members are specially trained and familiar with the procedures and requirements for fostering and adoptions; they may also work through the process with those who are adopting the animals. Committee members also help with any tasks that need to be done at the shelter.
This committee also addresses any questions or concerns about the Shelter and works with the outside volunteer organization Friends of the Livingston Animal Shelter if fundraising or supplies are needed.
