GARBAGE PICK-UP     *STREET LISTING FOR GARBAGE & RECYCLING updated 01-13 Township streets are broken down by zones: Zone 1- Monday Zone 2 - Tuesday Zone 3 - Wednesday Zone 4 - Thursday Zone 5 - Friday   Curbside Residential Garbage Collection Contract with Options for Rear Yard Collection The current curbside collection contract with Waste Industries, LLC for the collection, removal and disposal of solid waste began September 1, 2012 and includes two options for rear yard collection. Residents who wish to continue rear yard collection can choose the option of rear yard pickup for one garbage container per collection day for $10.00 per month or the optional service for a maximum of three garbage containers per collection day at $15.00 per month. Those residents who want to arrange for rear yard collection service should contact Waste Industries at (973) 761-0009 and speak with Lauren or Bill.   Township garbage is currently picked up by Waste Industries LLC. Bulk pick-up is the resident’s last regular garbage pick up of the month. The garbage schedule remains the same on holidays, with the exception of New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is no pickup on these six holidays. When a holiday falls on your recycling day or earlier in the same week, the recycling pick-up will take place on the following day from your regular schedule. Refer to the Town Planner Calendar for your scheduled pick up dates.  If there is a problem, residents can call Waste Industries Customer Service at 973-761-0009 , or Town Hall at 973 992-5000 and speak with the Clerk’s office staff, to resolve a problem or ask a question. Residents can also call about metal pick-up which is collected by the Township Public Works Department on the last Wednesday of the month. The deadline to call 973 992-5000 is the Friday prior to the last Wednesday by 12:00 noon. Please give your name, address and description of the item to get on the list for pickup. PLEASE NOTE: Refrigerators, air conditioners and metal dehumidifiers are picked up by the Public Works Department on the last Wednesday of each month along with other metal items. You must call 973-992-5000 to be put on the metal list.  Cut off day to be put on the list for any metal pick up is the Friday, at noon, before the pickup date.
