Digester Upgrades

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Clerk’s Office, for the Township of Livingston, County of Essex, State of New Jersey on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, 11:00 AM prevailing time at 357 S. Livingston Avenue, Livingston, New Jersey at which time and place proposals will be opened in the Council Chambers and publicly read for:

Bid No. 025-2017- Water Pollution Control Facility Primary Digester Upgrades Project

 The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications.  The work includes the rehabilitation of the existing primary digester steel cover, replacement of the existing primary digester “Pearth” mixing system, and replacement of digester piping and valves inside the tank and inside the Digester Control Building. Rehabilitation of the steel cover will include sandblasting and painting, replacement and/or repair of impacted structural members, installation of new anchor plate supports, reinstallation of the rehabilitated cover, and miscellaneous repairs.  The work is located at the Township’s Water Pollution Control Facility, 81 Naylon Avenue, within the Township of Livingston and includes: site work, general construction, demolition work, piping, mechanical process work, painting, concrete work, structural steel, electrical and instrumentation and control work.  The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days of the Con­trac­tor’s receipt of written Notice to Proceed.

Bid Documents can be downloaded for no charge online at www.livingstonnj.org/finance  (upon registration) or electronic version copies (via CD) may be picked up at the Township Clerk’s Office.  There is no charge for the CD.  Hard copies of the Bid Documents are available for reviewing only at the Township Municipal Building. Bid documents cannot be obtained at Mott MacDonald’s office.

 CD’s may be obtained on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Township of Livingston Clerk’s Office, same location, during regular business hours, 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.  Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq.  and NJAC 17:27-1 et seq.
