Christmas Tree Collection/Recycling Program The Township Christmas tree collection/recycling program will begin January 3, 2013 and will end January 31, 2013. Christmas trees are collected Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The Christmas tree collection program saves the cost of garbage disposal since the Township is charged by weight to remove bulk items. The In addition, the Township in conjunction with the Department of Public Works provides another environmentally friendly program.  Employees of the Department of Public Works chip the trees into mulch and make it available to residents for pick-up, at no cost.  The mulch created from the trees can be used in flower beds and garden borders. The DPW collected and recycled over 1,173 Christmas trees last year.
