An independent historian, researcher and author, Mr. Armstrong frequently lectures throughout the state on local history. He holds a BA in History and a BA in Political Science from American University. Mr. Armstrong is the Vice-President, Central Region, for the League of Historical Societies of New Jersey.

At the November 26, 2018 meeting of the Livingston Historical Society, Brian Armstrong will discuss the national and local history of the World War I. He will talk about the political climate in which the United States entered the Great War and the Livingston/Newark area servicemen who died from battle wounds and disease during the war, presenting photos, letters, newspaper reports and military records.
The Livingston Historical Society meets the fourth Monday of the month, September through April, at the Livingston Senior/Community Center.
Members of the community are welcome to attend for no fee; however, monetary donations to the Society are greatly appreciated.
