Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. This upcoming paddle sport combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Pickleball is played on a court the size of doubles badminton with a ball that moves at one-third the speed of a tennis ball, similar to a wiffleball. The net is similar to a tennis net.
Pickleball was invented as a backyard pastime that can be played in doubles or singles and is now an organized sport throughout the world. The United States Pickle ball Association estimates more than 100,000 active players in the U.S alone.
